Husband Math

I asked DBF how he felt about that and he said "I agree with him...it's his truck and I'll BUY you a tiller..."

PAHAHA. I feel loved!

It's the same math my dh used when he wouldn't pay for an electrician to come out and fix our breaker that kept SPARKING AND TRIPPING. Yet he had the money to go buy a bluetooth!

I knew someone who would add a nice piece of crystal to her collection every time her hubby bought an expensive new item of camera equipment. He claimed it was for his job. She pointed out that the crystal was 1/10 the price and made her just as happy as his non-essential camera part made him.

So, if my hubby's truck had a new $400 topper I would have a tiller for the day at 1/10 the cost.

I'm grateful that my hubby is much more reasonable. He doesn't do hubby math, but I can't seem to teach him chicken math. He counts by mouths to feed and not size

I really am quite used his skinflintiness it's just the double standard that gets my knickers in a knot sometimes. The topper really was a good deal, like a $2000 topper for $400, so I can see where he didn't want to pass it up...However, if I wanted to spend $400 on something, well, I'm sure that would be an entirely different story. Thanks for letting me vent! Glad to see I'm not alone in my frustration. MEN!

"No you DONT need the $400 Wintec Saddle you've been begging for over a year for, BUT I AM going to buy that $600 rifle I'll only use 3 times"

Course I DID just get my saddle... but I did have to wait a year!

My husband thinks that once we finish making car payments on one vehicle, then that's free money to start making new payments on a different vehicle. I'd rather put that money then toward other bills. Ah, practical, boring stick in the mud that I am.

A wife of mine once got upset because I picked her up for lunch in a NEW pickup that I had just bought.

She said, "You didn't ask me ! "

I replied, "No, I didn't. And I didn't ask you to pay for it either...did I?"

End of conversation. My money...my pickup.

Yeah my hubby didnt want to buy me the tools (or fix outside faucet)I needed to garden so now I don't need tools since I am doing my garden following the Permaculture method....Boy does that tick him off he keeps ranting I don't under stand it and why are you doing it that way on and on and on....HEHE teach him to put me last on the priority list....
