Ha... I have the opposite problem... my DBF fractured his ankle and is out of work for 6weeks.. I bought him dinner and caught him trying to stuff money in my wallet 5minutes later!!!

although, that being said, why must boys ALWAYS have a new fast car..? that stupid thing has broken 3 times in the last six months... WHO BUYS AN 8,000 SPORTS CAR WHEN THEY WORK AT HUNGRY JACKS (BURGER KING)

I Definitely agree with YOU about separate bank accounts!

I once put that same wife's name on one of my savings accounts. It took her a week to empty it!

(She didn't ever get her name on another one of my accounts !!! )

At my house we frequently joke about how my money is my money and HIS money is my money.
But in reality we each have our own accounts and have divided the household bills between us. Its a good system. We are a team and yet we can fritter what we want as long as our share of the bills are paid.

Well here's how it went when DH used this on me.

He Sold a nice drum set and said to me "I'm going to spend this money how IIII want, My drums, My money."

So I said "No problem, from now on Any money sent to me from MY family for holidays, or Birthdays, is MY money... MY Family, MY money."

His tune was quickly changed. Dont play games with someone who plays them better is what I always say!
