I'm going to second WeGotChickens - the quickest way to get something done at my house is to A. Start tearing things out/up and drag out some tools -(you'd be surprised the movement that occurs from "Where would I find a phillips screwdriver?" or B. Casually mention in passing that "today I was researching (plumbers, electricians, contractors, lawn mowing services, car repair shops etc) and I think I found one I'm really going to like!" - I am often still surprised at how fast the old guy can move!
