Husband saved me...

hahahahaha Frizzledhen! The first week we were married, hubby came home with one of his army buddies to find a sign hanging by the front foor that read....

Do you want to speak to the man of the house
or
the woman who knows what is going on and is in control?

That defined the boundaries right away! He was laughing hysterically and saying...PERFECT! hahahahahaha

When all my birds got killed last week, DH's first thought was that he'd get me new ones. If he had not had to leave the next day, he probably would have gone to the feed store and bought every one they had, chicks, ducks and all!
At any OTHER time....he will grab me by the arm and escort me past the peeping!
Oh yeah...there should be 2 more ducks AND 2 geese in my replacement order!
(that will make 8 duckies! so far I have 4 Rouens and 2 Khakis)

What is the first rule when going to the feedstore???

NEVER take your SO unless you know they'll be boxing more chicks/ducks than you LOL

LoveMychicks,

Get your two while husband is OTR...then IF he notices, do what I do around here...
"What are you talking about?? They have BEEN here".."You were just looking at them last time you were out here, and you are just now noticing?" "Men!"...then sadly shake your head and walk away.....

Did that with cats, did that with rabbits...did that with lizards too...heh heh ..I love my husband.

Go ahead and get the ducks. They are messy but oh, so cute! My husband has resigned himself to the fact that I'm going to cart home whatever catches my fancy and he just has to live with. I tell him it's my constant need to have babies in the house. We were only able to have 1 human baby so he's got to deal with all the fuzzy ones!

My husband recently reined me in when buying some $1.75 hatching eggs. I reluctantly agreed and just now heard he's on his way home with a new barbecue ($X00?)! He showed me a picture once to which I said "looks nice", and it's in the trunk right now!

MEN! Just wait til the next time I am ready to pick up a few new chicks!
LOL
