huskey vs my hens

My neighbour's huskey has been taking my hens. He has never been tied up , until I complained to local RCMP. Today I found out he's on the move again. So I complained again. Now he is making a complaint against me for allowing my hens to FREE ROAM on my land.
This has got so out of hand. Are hens considered livestock? I always thought I could free range. Am I right?

I would check out local law but if they never leave your property, there shouldn't be a problem.

I think your neighbor is coming up with a ridiculous charge to try and cover his wrong doing. I don't know of anywhere that allows dogs to free range...they must be kept under control at all times.

I have a similar story. My neihbor's dog attacked my kenneled dogs. I turned him in to the dog warden. He took me to court...his reason? My dogs are show dogs so they aren't fixed.. they lured his dog over! One big problem...my dogs are male and his was a neutered male...I'm still not sure what he thought he was going to prove. The judge fined him and put strike 1 of 2 on his dog.
