For the past month or so I have been getting 4 to 5 eggs a day, but a few weeks ago I had a barred start laying soft eggs so I boosted the oyster shell in their diet and that was resolved. Then about a week later I had a rubber egg in the bottom of my coop. The egg didn't get cleaned up fast enough and I guess they ate it. Now one of my hens that was my best layer seems like she is having difficulty laying. She sat on the nest for about 1hour today and was unable to lay and egg. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I be worried? Also I was wondering where I can get some good Vitamins for them I really don't want to order them "I am inpatient"

LOL... Thanks for your help.

Unless your hen is acting "off" I wouldn't worry about her. Now if she appears hunched, or waddles, then I'd worry. Sometimes hens like to sit around and think about it (laying) a while...lol.
Not sure what kind of vitamins you're looking for, but you can get electrolites and such at Tractor Supply.
You're not too far from us - almost neighbors
