Hello,

I just obtained 22 Hy-Line Browns and I am wondering what some first-hand experience is on the length of time that they lay eggs. I am told that they are 80 weeks old right now, and from what I'm researching it seems like most egg farms rate them at 100 weeks for peak laying. Should I expect them to slow down production soon? Do they totally stop laying at some point? What should I expect? Thank you.

Longevity of lay is pretty hard to pinpoint...there are several variables.
You might see some eggs the first couple days(already in process before the move),
but then they may stop laying for a time due to moving stress.
They also may have been under lights, and that lack could shut them off for a time...
....but again, how long is hard to guess.
