I've seen folks mention here about having hydrometers in their incubators, and that they bought them at Wal-Mart.

When I went to my local store yesterday they didn't carry them. So I went to the pet shop and they didn't have any but could order for me. She said she could get them from Fluker Labs, Four Paws and T-Rex Inc.

So my question is, what brand of hydrometer do you have, what do you like about it, and how much did it cost?

Thanx all!

Look up a local Cigar shop. They carry them for there humidors. I picked up an electric one for about 10.00. It also had temp. The reading is close enough to get in the ball park for humidity.

Cheap hygrometers are typically very inaccurate, and you can't adjust them. I got the HygroSet II Adjustable Round Digital Hygrometer off Amazon for $20. I like that it is adjustable, and digital.

I have two of the Walmart ones and if you calirate them, they work fine for me? i always have at least two of things so i can double check and average if needed.

edited to add that i mark mine...if one is 2% hi and one is 3% low. I put a piece of tape right on the front so you can see that each time you read it.
