Hygrometer issues....

My incubator doesn’t have a humidity gauge so I bought some little ones I can put inside. There was a difference of about 20% between them so I figure okay one is broke... did a salt test they were 73% and 72% okay not broke. So why is one showing such a difference in the incubator??? Right now I am testing how they act when I have one stacked on top of the other. I have new eggs coming tomorrow so I’m hoping to figure this out. Any suggestions???

My guess is that maybe your incubator has hotter and colder spots? The hotter the spots the higher the humidity.

They are in the exact same spot just next to each other though and one shows 10% and another 30%. Now I have them stacked and they are relatively similar. I had a cruddy incubator my first attempt and 4 eggs 2 turned out not even fertile and the other two didn’t develop past day 4 so I’m hoping for more success with the real incubator and 12 eggs.
