It might be trying to jump out because it is lonely. Can you put at least one other chick in with it? Or maybe make a separate part of the same brooder as the other chicks where it can see them but not get picked on?

Yeah, it's acting like that because it's alone. Put one or two with it or put it with the rest and it'll be good.

Hey everyone! This chick did just fine all of yesterday but since today it has been a bit lazy. It's looks like it dozes off and then wakes up. I am a bit worried as I am not sure if it is normal behavior. Could it be that I added a new baby chick to the brood today? That new chick hatched earlier today... I am really worried!
