I have a 15 week old silkie that was pecked hard on the head. Since then, she has developed a bad head tick. I brought her inside and have been babying her and giving her poly vi sol. She has a friend with her so that she is not alone. She has good days and bad days. I don't know what else to do but keep her calm. Loud noises, sudden movements and cold foods make the ticking more pronounced.
I was just reading a little about hypericum. Does anyone know if I could safely use this on this silkie? I'm trying to figure out something I could do to help the healing process. A couple months ago I had this same thing happen. It took over a month but that silkie is back up in the coop with his buddies and has no sign of injury left.
What do you think????
Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is a beautiful splash silkie and I would hate to lose her for this type of injury.
Thanks for your help~
