One of my dogs, Mr. Kojak, has a nasty nose.
Has anyone had any good results with treatments for hyperkeratosis?
I know it doesn't actually cause any issues, it's just...icky.
I don't think he has any underlying issues, he's quite healthy, but his nasty nose freaks me out.
I thought about maybe using raw coconut oil, but I'm not too sure about the use of any topicals. He's just going to lick them off, isn't he?

If you've never seen hyperkeratosis, imagine all those "crumbles" that make up a dog's nose. Imagine if those crumbles kept growing, and growing, until the nose has nasty little poky fingers on it. That's my boy.

It seems I heard or read something about a vitamin deficency .... Vit A I think.. not sure..

Hmm, that could make sense.
None of my other pooches have issues, but Mr. K was a train wreck when I found him. A chronic deficiency isn't unthinkable.
