So I posted not too long ago about my hen not acting/doing right. I think she is an internal layer as I've read some threads and she seems to have the same symptoms. Amongst those threads I read about getting a hysterectomy on hens with problems like internal laying. I would really like to do it, and it may sound crazy, but I think I would feel better of her dying from the surgery (since all surgery is a risk) than just putting her to sleep now, I will feel like I tried all options before giving up.
I am going to contact my vet for a referral to a university which would hopefully be able to perform such a surgery. I guess I'm just looking for people that have maybe done this before and any words of wisdom.
