If you've only had your leghorn for three weeks, that could be why she's not laying. It takes uprooted hens a little while to get used to their new digs and feel comfortable again. Once she gets established there, she will start laying for you.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. After reading around here I’m not as concerned about her. She is healthy and active. The pecking order seems to have been established. I suspect now it is the weather/light situation to blame. Yesterday I installed a 25 watt red light bulb in their coop and set it to extend the day for 4 hours past sunset. I guess we’ll see.

We can only have 2 birds inside the city limits (read my entry in Local Chicken laws and Ordinances…), so I think we’re maxed out, for now.

Six extended days under the red light and she gave us a huge egg. I think we are going to back it off a little, they don't want to go to bed at sundown and the roo is crowing 'till 9:00pm...

Welcome to BYC. I feel that I must warn you about this site, it can become addictive. I wanted 4-5 hens for eggs. Before I knew it I had over 40 chickens, 3 coops and a chicken tractor. Be careful, it could happen to you.
