I'll start: We did family names, sometimes using the more interesting or funnier middle names.We have Minnie and Flossie after my husband's grandmothers, Hulda and Kitty after my grandmothers, Eula after my stepgrandmother, Consuelo after my great-aunt/godmother, Peg after my aunt/godmother, Ethel after my mom, Jeanne after my husband's mom, Albertine after my former mother-in-law, Sophonisba after my great grandmother, Hildegard after my great x 43 grandmother (yeah, my mom's into geneology), and then threw in my beloved kindergarten teacher Helen.
