Hi I want to learn about chickens. I am 55 and when I was a child my parents had a farm. But me being young and dumb I didn’t learn to much. I was always into my horses. But now I have lots of room on my land, I like to raise some chickens. For eggs and for meat

Welcome. I'm sure that you'll be able to find any answers on BackYard Chickens. I wanted to write because you're new to the site. I can relate to you with being the same age and an equestrian. This site is great for the fast response and all of the knowledgeable folks that want to help. Super luck with your flock. I've ordered from Murray McMurray a number of times and have always received strong, healthy birds. You even have the option of ordering the chickens already sexed. I hope your summer is wonderful with your new chicken clan.
