I’m afraid to give away my roosters because I still think they’re hens☹️

I have 2 three month chicken that might be roosters. Both had combs come in at around 6 weeks old. The black australorp starting making a crowing noise around a week ago. They are bigger than my other pullets. A friend has offered to give me two similar age pullets when I give the roosters away. But I am Not 100% convinced they are Roos. I’ll attach some pics for your opinions. Thank you.

Any chick that has a larger red comb at 6 weeks is a cockerel. Add to that crowing, honey you have roosters.

Trade for the hens asap before your friend changes their mind

You can also see the sickle tail feathers and saddles coming in on the Barred Rock, which imho, is a poorly marked Barred Rock and not black sex link. They don't look as evenly barred as a Barred Rock with a lot more white at hackles and saddle.

I didn't get a good enough photo for the Australorp to see saddle well, but that is a rooster too.

Both are cockerels and that's not a barred rock, it's a black sex link.

For example, here my 16 week old australorps. No where near that size comb or wattles.

Oh my goodness! Funny I stumbled across this... I totally understand your hesitation but for sure want you to know if one goes to my niece Allison she will treat it amazing
