Hi.
I know it’s been a while since I’ve been in here, but once I discovered my ducks were mallards and not Rouens, I stopped worrying about them as much. They are indeed three females. They can indeed fly. 2 of them fly all over while the third stays closer to home. All three disappeared for 2 nights, but came back the following morning. It seems they can take care of themselves if they have to.
Anyway, they now pretty much refuse to go back into their enclosure while I am around, preferring instead to stay in a 300 gallon water tank I bought for them. They’ve spent the last two nights in it! I have a heater in it - floating cord one. Should I worry about electrocution? As long as the cord is fine, I don’t think so, but if someone knows better...please let me know.
Thanks!
