I’m confused. Hen or Roo

What kind of bird is the one that is marked as #2? I have a very similar pullet that was supposed to be a Cuckoo Maran, but is definitely not. I don't know her breed but I'm leaning towards Sapphire Gem or Langshan.

Good question. I’ve been told Blue Andalusian however It was sold at TSC as a French blue cuckoo Maran.

I also got mine from Tractor Supply! However, these were sold as just "Cuckoo Marans."

I’m going to go cry lol…it’s a gender confused bird.

It's not nearly as confused as you are, it's not unusual for roosters to check out the nest boxes, sit by laying hens or inspect eggs. When a hen sings after laying an egg, she's calling the rooster to come check it out and escorts her back to the others. He's being a gentlemen.:]

Some are more attentive to their girls,
mine would ignore his non favorite hens but if a favorite called from the coop, he'd 'squark' and charge in there.
he's a good and handsome roo!

I swear to you this bird laid a green egg. I even took a pic of her on the egg after. However people say this is a Roo?

It sure looks like a male, given those feathers.

The only way a hen can have feathers like that is if she has some kind of hormone problem-- and that would usually prevent her laying eggs.

You could put that bird in a cage by itself for a few days, to be sure about who is laying the green eggs. You will probably find that the green eggs keep getting laid in the general flock nestboxes, not in the cage with that bird.

I had a friend whose rooster sat on eggs. He was with a flock of extremely broody silkie hens. Maybe he was copying your girls.

A rooster sitting on eggs isn't uncommon, so that could be why this rooster got up off of an egg.
