I’m getting a chicken barn!!

These aren’t the best pictures, but I took a few yesterday after we put the sand in! We’re almost there guys!!
We framed out for two more nesting boxes and left room for more roosts on the other side so we can add more chickens if we want to later.

So I think I might just kill my husband. I guess he’s excited too bc we (He) just went and bought 18 hatching eggs. The barn is not done. It’s literally a roof on posts.

How are the hatching eggs that your husband bought? Do you have any photos of the little ones? What breeds of chickens did you get did you end up with?

We had 8 hatch out of the 18, they are a hot mess of a bunch too. Some are crested, one is a frizzle mix, one of two have muffs and several have feathered feet. Lord knows what all kind of mixes they are, we got them was a pullet resale place. But I just let them out of their own coop today to range out in our current chicken run with the big girls. I’m hoping to get the older ones moved to the barn this weekend, and I might keep the 8 in the backyard until they get a little bigger.

Are they are in their scraggly preteen stage so they look so homely we were moving the big girls this weekend but we are going to wait one more week and order a 4th roll of that premier 1 fencing to square off their yard. So for this week I think we are going to move the little ones out there so they have more room and just keep them inside the barn with no yard. Ita a ton more room than they have now and they won’t be getting their butts kicked.
