It's funny that you say that (make things bigger) as the coop started in the development stage of 4'x5' to 5x7 to 6x8 and a run that spanned 12 feet initially to 20'Hi Robb! Welcome to BYC! We're so happy you decided to join us!
If you follow @DobieLover advice you can't go wrong
The only thing I would add is that chicken wire is worthless at protecting against predators. Use hardware cloth instead. And build everything much bigger than you think you would ever need... because chicken math is real.
