Lostmomma
Chirping
Hello , I’m Lostmomma because I am new to raising chickens . I currently have quite a little flock going . They are all doing good though. I have questions about a new baby that’s recently hatched and she’s got some issues.

This baby hatched late after the other babies and was stuck in her shell . She only has 2 toes and tiny wings . She’s 4 days old and when I have her outside she can hear momma and the other babies. None of these are actually my bantie mommas babies. She just hatches them and raises them . I got her because I bought 5 silkie banties and lost 4 the first week. So my neighbor gave me this momma to raise my silkie . Will it be safe to add this baby in there with the momma , my silkie that’s 5 months old and the other 4 babies that are 7 days old now.Welcome to BYC! Ask away any questions!
Has she shown any signs of sickness? If not, you can try to add her in with other chicks just keep a very good eye out for any pecking. If they start pecking immediately sperate so she doesn't suffer and die. Make sure eats and drinksThis baby hatched late after the other babies and was stuck in her shell . No but she’s very tiny compared to them. Momma gets very testy with me when I go around the babies . I’m afraid she will hurt her and attack me if I try to get this one back .Has she shown any signs of sickness? Okay, so can you keep her inside? And just provide food and waterNo but she’s very tiny compared to them. Momma gets very testy with me when I go around the babies . I’m afraid she will hurt her and attack me if I try to get this one back .
I have her inside with me and I built her a small pen outside also . The other four babies were with her , they hatched first and momma took those 4 and went downstairs of the coup. I didn’t have a chance to remove the last eggs she left and three days later I seen this one coming out of the shell. We put the egg down with momma and the babies but they just trampled it all day so my neighbor came over and took this baby half out of its shell and told me to bring her in until she absorbed the yolk and detached . She was sprayleg the first day but I just kept her in my hands to help her stand . She’s quite spoiled .Okay, so can you keep her inside? And just provide food and waterdoes she have any other siblings to be with?
