Hi I have had my second chick hatch an hour ago and I’m a little concerned it’s not making much noise and it’s lying down constantly it may be very exhausted but I just need to make sure I had two others pass away yesterday so I’m left with one alive so I need this one to have the best chances possible
Many thanks lulu

Thank you the chick is lying down breathing and chirps a little every so often should I keep an eye or will it be fine for me to go back to sleep (is it likely going to survive till the morning)

Has it done some walking around and then takes breaks? Or has it been laying down most of the time since hatching? If you haven’t seen much movement at all, you may want to pull it out and give it a tiny amount of Nutridrench or sugar water…but you probably can’t do much other than that sadly 🥺

It has moved around every so often more when it first hatched but it is currently Lying down chirping and breathing fine

If your super concerned I would give sugar water. What did the onthers die from?

Ok thank you
Both hatched late evening seemed fine and woke up in the morning to find one’s insides looked like it exploded and the other one was just lying there
