I’m new to the duck scene. Need some advice please.

@casportpony she is weighing right at 3 lbs. she pooped again during the night. How much do I need to feed her? She seems weak or off balance. She almost fell over when she clapped her wings this morning

That poop looks better, but the yellow color worries me. Sometimes the yellow can be from dehydration, other times it can be a liver problem or infection. Please call the vet that saw her and ask about switching to Baytril. The antibiotic they prescribed is pretty good, but Baytril might be better in this case.

At 3 pounds (1360 grams), I think I would want to get at least 40 ml into her 4-6 times a day. Also ask the vet about this.

This is the yellow that concerns me.

Maverick is the first duck this office has ever seen. The dr isn’t comfortable trying to do subcutaneous fluids. I’m gonna up the pedialyte and the feedings. Here’s a picture of the meds I just got from them.
Good stuff, and the amount recommended is within the normal range, so you are good to go.
