(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I hatched my first group when I was in the 6th grade, all 15 hatched. Sadly a Mink killed them all. About 8 years ago I decided to get chickens as an adult
I’m on my 4th group now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 45
(3) What breeds do you have?
Buff Cochin Roo, Whiting True Blue, Easter Egger, White Wyandotte, Red Star, Black Star, Buff Minorca, Light Brahma, Sapphire Gem, Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, Bielefelder 2 hen 1 roo, 2 Delaware hens, Cuckoo Maran, 2 Black Copper Maran, Lavender Orpington 1 hen and 1 rooster, 4 Easter Eggers, 2 Whiting True Greens, Cream Legbar hen and rooster, 2 black Minorca, 2 crevecouer, 2 silver laced Wyandotte’s, Olive egger, Blue Copper Maran
3 buff silkies 2 girls and 1 roo, 2 dark silkies not sure the color and a Sultan
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love chickens in general and I love eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Photography... especially of my chickens...
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a mom of 3 boys, I have 2 dogs (golden retriever and Great Pyrenees) 4 cats, 4 goats, 4 potbelly pigs, 4 guineas, 2 ducks, 1 fish, 1 rabbit and my 45 chickens
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Well I’ve known about Backyard Chickens for about a year, I found it on Facebook and post periodically...
