I’m New to the group and have had chickens and guineas for eight years now

Hey all I’m glad to be accepted. I live in WV and have approximately 50-60 chickens, 25 guineas and 3 ducks. I also hatch and sell chicks and guinea keets. I recently acquired some ornamental chickens (Cochins and Silver Phoenix) which I also intend to breed and sell. I’ve watched videos on YouTube about how to sex a chicken in the egg but I just have no luck. Any suggestions?

You can't really tell what gender the egg will be before it is hatched, sorry.

Hello, and welcome to BYC. As others have said it is impossible to gender ID an unhatched chicks. Unless chicks are sex linked even the professionals have only a 90% success rate with vent sexing newly hatched chicks.
