Feed is very important. At their age, get them on a non-medicated chick starter, or a flock raiser type feed, and offer oyster shell on the side, free choice. They won't eat much of the oyster shell, but most will eat it when they need a little extra calcium. Fresh clean water daily is important too. I tend to use soap and water to scrub my feed/water dishes about every week to 10 days. I pour the soapy water from their dishes on the roosts. Then I rinse the feeding dishes first, so the soapy water sits on the roosts for a few minutes, then I rinse the roosts.
