we have 11 ducks currently all have been raised from chicks, so we aren’t new to any of this, but some reason I have had my worst luck with 6 Muscovy ducklings I rescued. They had to be 2-3 days old they were so tiny. I came home yesterday to find 5 of them dead just laying there, they tipped their slow water jug over and I guess got too cold, and possibly drowned. The last one we took inside the house and I checked on it every hour, and spent half the day with the cutie, 45 mins ago, I went to check on him after I went to bed, he was only alone for 1 1/2, my mom said to leave the soupy chick starter food that we could only get him to eat in there, since it was hot. I was uneasy about it but did it anyways and now he’s dead. And it’s all my fault. I feel like crap, all I could do was cry, I even tried revive him, obviously with no luck. How could I be so stupid, these poor ducks! I knew how to raise ducks, I have done it 100 different times! All I wanted to do was help them, and all I managed to do was kill them.

I’m so sorry for your loss

I'm so sorry to hear this. I have been having issues trying to keep mine alive as well. My muscovy had 11 babies and a few got stolen from another mom and then the last two days it went from 3 ducklings to one duckling and now she doesn't have anymore and I feel it's my fault as well. I feel your saddness and guilt because j was the same way
