Depending on how strongly you really feel about the rooster... didn’t you mention a woman who does a rescue? I would offer her or another rescue you can find money to TAKE Louie. At the same time, post now an ad on Craigslist being specific, giving a higher-than-food price (20.00 or so) and stress the hand raising up to this point and add a few photos.

If his crows get louder and you are meeting dead ends you can make a new post for less where someone will assuredly take him. Youll feel better about it all soon.
