I’ve created some new sex links!

Congratulations if you are correct, if you are, it may just be your specific chicken. If I created a new sex-(and I don’t know much about this), I would find some way to patent it or somehow protect it till I was ready to reslease it to the industry. I’m currently working on a high production sexlink blue egg layer with NO beard, muffs, or rumples tails. Good LUCK!

The only sex linkage you would be able get from that cross (silkie male x non-silkie female) is skin color. Pullets would have dark skin, cockerels light.
My Silkies skin color has nothing to do with sex linkage. Most of my females have light colored black skin, & same with my roosters. The only males I have with really dark black skin I have are a couple I got from a SQ Silkie Breeder in Ohio.

I have a White Silkie X Porcelain D'Uccle mix, & she has light colored Black skin.

Sorry if you can't tell, I'll have to get better photos.
