I <3 My Duck!! But is it a boy or girl???

This evening I listened to the duck sounds on the majestic website, trying to figure out if my beautiful 4 and a half week -old Ancona is male or female. I still couldn't figure it out so I thought I'd ask you guys so I went out and had my son video me with my duck, see if it would make a sound and get your opinion!

From what I've read, some of you very experienced duck owners can tell pretty early if the duck is a boy or girl...what do you think??

Heh! I think it's pretty obvious that I love my duck.

VERY sweet! sounding pretty ducky to me.. so a female boys(drakes) go quite raspy we often have folks worried their ducks have a problem with their voice or appear to have 'lost it'.

I was leaning that way. You should hear it when it's trying to tell me something! It looks right at me and quacks loudly! Just tells me all about it! It's so funny.

I'm not an experienced duck owner, but I will say that we have assumed the Ancona we have making similar sounds is a female... We have another that we believe to be a male, and his sound really truly is different and quieter.

We also have 3 still peeping. Maybe I should try holding them like this and see what they sound like...

I really just wanted to comment because this video is completely adorable and I love it!

She loves to lay like that!! Will go sound to sleep with her chin tucked on her chest on my lap! Flat on her back! It's so sweet!

Isn't she pretty!?? And she's just as sweet and friendly as she can be!! She puts up with me smooching on her and loves to tuck her head up under my chin!
