I gotta vent,

saturday I went to an indoor 21 and under rodeo. I helped in the snack bar, oh my word was that a lot of work. I was only suposed to keep an eye on it for a little while, but there was noway I'd leave the lady there alone. God bless those who do that full time. and I told them I'd help next time too if they need it

it all gos to the kids, and thses people work there tails off for them, so I am happy that I can lend a hand, but that a lot of work.

anywas here is the thing that made me mad. there are a lot of kids there under the age of 10. I don't mind the running a laughing, I even got nailed by a foot ball twice when I took a brake to watch my borther ride. well I saw to boys on the ground kicking at each other, I said Hey, no fighting, play nice. they got up and walked off together. well a lady comes up a few minutes later and ask if they hurt me, I told her no they were kicking eash other and- she cuts me off and say that was her son and he can kick whoever he wants, then walked off.

I could see wanting to know what I said, but it's an assciation rule, no fighting. I was so mad I was shaking. and she talked down to me like I was a kid. even if I was a kid, you sould not talk down to anyone.

I'm not one to loss my tempper, but boy that got me riled. I did not say anything about it, and I'm going to try not too. I've got two weeks to cool off befor the next rodeo.

but if I do feel the need to speak up it will be to the people in charge.

You were right to tell them to quit it. Even if the boys involved were ok with it, and their parents, there are other children who would learn by example.

You showed good judgement and maturity---which I suspect the mother lacked.

her kids must take after other family or friends, cuz they are not bad...but maybe it's a good thing she only has boys and they are around a lot of good hearted people at these rodeos

there is no stock where they play at, but yea

Good for you for caring enough!!! You did the right thing!!!

That mother should have said she was sorry that her kids were causing trouble. Not sure how old you are, but you were acting like more of an adult then the mother was!

I'm 21, but i'd done the same thing 5 years ago. I've got a lot of younger family, and I tend to treat ever kid I meet like they are family.

Should have told her he can kick who he wants anywhere else, but while here, he has to follow the same rules as anyone else, and then turned and walked away.

Some people just make a habit of getting in your face over everything, even when they're wrong. Usually because life's been kicking their

... because life's hard, but it's harder when you're stupid ... and they blame the world for this.

Next time, just say, "I thought it was better to give them a warning than to have the officials or organizers ask them to leave for breaking the rules." Then give a nice sarcastic big cheesey smile and walk away.
