I want someone to give me a dog, one day once my old friend has passed, not in 8 weeks from @RUNuts . At least no one ever put up too much of a fuss when I brought other animals home; in the past 3 years I've brought home quite a few.

That was a puppy mill rescue she had one tooth. She preferred kibble however and my vet said if she would eat it let her. She gummed it like a pro for 6 yrs. it also kept her one tooth healthy.I wonder if you can soak the dry food to soften it for him.
I am not a fan of wet food for dogs. It always created extra stinky soft stools in my dogs. That includes the foster shitzu we had here. Poor thing was just 5 pounds when he came here and full of Texas fleas.
Get him small puppy food. Dry small pieces. If he can eat dry, its much better for his teeth. There are some really good grain free dry foods that would work really well.I'm not sure I can stomach feeding a raw diet.
I will check it out though.
The vet was saying wet food (canned wet regular dog food) was better because he is so little and hims teefies are so small. Implied that it would be easier for him to eat.
