I am a new chicken mom!

I got my first chickens yesterday. 5 17 week old brown Hyline started pullets. They are a cross between a RIR and a White Leghorn I think. Very cute! I am so excited. What a great mother's day present. And I scooped my first chicken poo today

Wish me luck! I have never done this before, so we will need lots of luck and this website for support. Happy Mother's Day to all chicken moms!

Here they are. So cute and curious. They seemed to have warmed up to us already. They eat from our hands and are very calm. I am so happy. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier! Long live Chickens!
