Ok my DS comes home from school today and tells me that a high school kid on his bus asked him if he wanted to buy some magnets off him.... my son said no. the HS kid then threw them at his head and yelled at my son.... and the driver did nothing...

then the hs kid asked my son who is in grade 7 if he liked to fight.... my son said no... the hs kid said to bad i will get you when you are waiting for the bus tomorrow afternoon... and the driver did nothing...

I am about to go and rip new ones...

not only is this bus late every afternoon by about 20 minutes and when i called the company i was told its because they dont have a regular driver and they have to wait till someone is clear their own school run before they can start this one

I am so mad right now that I know i wont get much sleep tonight.... and then I will have to go deal with the schools and the bus companies tomorrow...

well i just got off the phone with the local police and they are arraigning to have a car meet me at the school in the morning and they intend to charge the kid with uttering threats

I would go first thing in the morning to the school with my kid in this case and I will speake with the principal, because things like this can get real ugely these days.

i drive a bus, are you sure the driver saw what was going on if the bus is full or even half full the driver might not have seen, they are watching the road and traffic too, do you have video cameras on the bus if you do tell them you want to see the video, and raise a ruckus and don't stop till they do something

Quote:
yeah he was made aware of what happened... my son when to the driver when he had the magnets thrown at him and the driver said that he didnt want them because my son attempted to give the driver the magnets

and when he threatened him he walked back up to the front and told the driver and the driver gave him crap for walking on the bus...

I know this driver from when I drove for the same company a few years ago and to say he is a piece of work is being really nice...

ETA: there was cameras on the bus and a few years ago the parents group got huffy about it and demanded that the school board forbid the bus company from recording the children while riding the bus because it "violates their right to privacy" and the school board stuck their tail between their legs and said "yes Mame"... what ever you wish because the school board has no spine

this was the year that i stopped driving school bus after 15 years because i could see the downward spiral beginning. Where the driver has no rights...

I drove/picked up my kids, but once at school they were on their own. Those zero tolerance bullying laws are a joke. At first schools try to work with you,but if complaints continue they quicky turn a blind eye or start blaming your own child. I hope your sons situation gets resolved.
