Yeah, our dogs were excellent ratters too. An Australian Cattle dog and three Aussies, the cat would be in the rafters in the barn and if the rat made the fateful leap to the ground to get away from the cat, the dogs were there waiting to litterally RIP them apart!!!! It was pretty disgusting sometimes. One of the Aussies would have a rat hanging off his cheek as he toted it outside to eat it. That's the reason we never used poison, our dogs loved fresh rat!

I have 3 cats (worthless for rats, but ok for mice), and a pup. I'm seriously thinking of a ratter dog. I'd keep it out there so it can eat the rats! [just kidding]
