Hello!
I'm new to the backyard chicken community and recently gotten 2 baby chickens!
Tiki: Blue laced red wyandotte
- A sassy easy going princess. Picky eater of only the finest of scraps, and loves cuddles and attention.
Kiwi: Salmon flaverolle
- Screams
I live in the Yeehaw state of Dallas Texas! I got my two feather dogs at a breeder who has extensive experience and been an amazing establishment for 80+ years. My neighbors have a couple chickens that roam around freely and have inspired my family and I to take on the two little feather balls. I have done research on chicken care but I still want more information as much as possible to keep my feather dogs safe and happy. Luckily for me I stumbled upon this website when Kiwi got a broken blood feather, and the people here helped me calm down and handle the situation quickly and effectively. (Kiwi is all healed up now and happily running around screaming at everything.)
I'm super thankful for this website and the people here that are willing to help me clear up any misinformation and/or educate me on proper chicken care. I hope to keep using this platform and hope this community stays as helpful and welcoming as it has been for me thus far!
