Hi,
I am creating a 10,000 square foot quail/chicken house heaven. The first thing I should do is to not let any predators in the quail habitat. I put up a chain link fence. I think the holes in the chain link fence is too big. I am going to put a hardware cloth or bird netting over it to make those holes smaller. Any other suggestions.

The video of the habitat can be seen here.

an electric fence would prevent predators from getting in and climbing on the roof? or would they still be able to climb on the roof?

Six feet in height is adequate unless your 7 or 8 feet tall, :lau you don't want to be bending over to get into or move around in the enclosure.
You will want to bury an apron around the entire enclosure to prevent predators from digging underneath an gaining access to the enclosure.
1" welded wire will be stronger than 1/2" HC for the perimeter of the enclosure. You could even use 1" x 1/2" welded wire for the perimeter depending on your financial situation...very costly for an enclosure of that size.
You will want to construct some covered feeding and watering stations. Depending on the load ( # of quail in the enclosure) you may want to build some artificial sheltered areas as well.
Good luck with your project! HTH

Depends on the construction of the beds, concrete retaining walls, wood, sheet metal, etc...but yeah, it could work. If you bury the retaining walls around 2 feet down that should keep most predators from digging into the enclosure.
