I AM FREAKING OUT.

What are you keeping him in? Photos?

If you have a dog kennel that is open to keep him in during the day, it may be better.
If he is in an enclosed box, he's probably very scared everytime you open it. Anytime you are coming from above, they can feel unsafe.

Ok. I feed my hens dryed mealworms and they go nuts for them. I ran out recently but I will get more soon. Thanks for all the help. The thing is, he is in a huge box and he is the only one in it. It is the heaviest thing in my garage right now. Should I try to move him into a smaller cage? I only have like little cat carriers. One is somewhat bigger but other than that what should I do to move him up?

You don't need fake hamburger meat. Real meat or chopped beef liver in very small quantities works well as a high protein treat. You can keep a baggie in the freezer, and just break off a little. Canned tuna works also, but just don't overdo the treats, since he needs a balanced chicken feed.
Don't try to get him to love you--they will always hate to be touched, and especially be approached from above. A wire dog crate with food and water is very good for temporary quarters while you quarantine him for a month to make sure that he has not illnesses to spread to your hens. put a little roost low in the crate if you have room.

Oh, NO!!!

I have to go break the news to Cuddles, that he hates to be touched...:lau I don't think he is going to take this news well.

Any little meat scraps would work, I find that "fake" burgers are just clean, easy to use and store.
