My friend raises Boers (keeps the billys) and breeds those with milk goats like Alpines or Saanens. Those babies he keeps and either uses for meat (billys) or for breeding. The milk goats mixed with the boers keeps the milk production up in the flock and you can register percentage boers to a certain percent.
Anyway, I think if it were me, I'd get male Boers and female Alpines. Then, just go from there.
