I am horrified what is going on!! Quail toes falling off or somthing

This house is goverment owned, they always say the mould is the tennants problem.
This house is falling to pieces on the outside, maybe i should take it further.

I have noticed my allergys have been pretty bad, i always wake up with a sore throat
That’s not good. Go to your doctor for a checkup.
What’s your climate like? Have you cleaned with bleach solution? It’s usually 1 TBSP per qt or 1/4c per gallon. I don’t have the metric conversion for that.
Look for a new place if at all possible unless this is a bigger issue in your area. :( :hugs

I wonder what is a good de humidifier i have the money to buy one i just need to do some research.

Tasmania is a really cold climate, we are in spring right now just came out of winter and going into summer soon..
Winter has always been really damp in this house, i have never had a house so damp in my life.

I didnt even think that maybe it was affecting my animals and myself
I have a GE at my work. It’s really good. You have to empty the bucket a lot unless you’re able to hookup a hose for continuous flow.

Gotta love socialism... maybe you can at least bleach it down real good, let it dry and paint with mold resistant paint to put a barrier.
Taking a Nasal corticosteroid allergy medication like fluticasone (Xhance) will help with your symptoms. It was a life saver for me.

Fish tanks and house plants definitely increase the humidity which increases the mold
Yeah, but they only have two and they have lids. I have four, used to be 7. Some covered, some not, and my humidity wasn’t high. I also have tanks and plants in my small office with no issue. These are in a different room than the dehumidifier, by the way.

Let’s not talk politics. ;) ;)

That was a rude comment sheesh

Sorry, I didn't intend to be rude!

He still needs to take better care of his hands! Whether it is fungal, turps damage, dry or eczema, they look sore and uncomfortable. If it is fungal, then it can be transmitted.

Please don't take offence.

I've just seen the posts about your housing. That is horrendous!

Get a letter from your doctor setting out how the mould is affecting your health (it is esp dangerous for asthma and allergy sufferers), and get a lawyer. There might be free public lawyers, law centres or advice organisations where you are. A lawyer's letter plus medical backup and photos of the mould will help. The housing authority need to fix up the house or rehouse you somewhere else urgently.

In the meantime, ventilating constantly, and a couple of dehumidifiers will help. Also paint the walls and ceiling with mould inhibitor. You can get it from DIY shops, hardware stores etc. Take pics before you clean it off and paint it.
