I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP WITH MY DOG, SADIE

It is a good idea to take her for a long walk before you work on training with her. She will be a better listener if she is not all fully of energy.

I will remember that. I am starting to take her for long walks until she is worn out, then working on obedience training. She has about 10 different toys, and I rotate them each week to keep them "new", as recommended by a trainer I met.

Is it a bad idea to let her sleep on my bed and eat in the kitchen? Because she sleeps on my bed, and eats in the kitchen. I used to use a crate.

Mom restricts using crates now.

I have a pet taxi, can I put her in that overnight? If mom agrees, that is.

I dont think its bad for her to sleep in your bed if you want her to. If you feed her in the kitchen make sure it is not when you are eating and only out of her bowl. Not table scraps while you are eating.

Crate Sadie when you can't watch her. When you can, a penny can/shake can works really well. Drink a can of soda, then rinse out well. Once it's dry, drop in a few pennies. Set it in easy reach of you, then go about your business. If you see Sadie even eye the table, throw the can on the floor near her. Don't hit her with it. It's incredibly loud, and should startle her out of her misbehavior. Good luck!

When one of my friends first got her dog he was TERRIBLE about taking things off the counter. She ended up finding a small motion detector alarm. She would set it when she went to work. If he tried to take anything off the counter it would go off for several seconds. Worked like a charm. There is no substitute for consistent training though. Even if you chose to go this route I would still encourage you to do all the things that ChickensRDinos suggested.
