I work at a pet store and we got our very first shipment of critters in ( store has only been open for about a month )
well I had asked for a certain breed of RAT to come in and the store owner was nice enough to get them on the list for me
we got a white female and a greyish male HAIRLESS RAT !!!!
I love these guys and have not been around one for years so I was so happy to get them in the store
sadly the little female has a really bad eye problem that has left her blind in one eye and she holds her head slighty tilted with the bad eye facing up - it looks like the eye was pushed into the socket
she keeps the lids closed most of the time
her mate is in great shape and healthy - both are VERY friendly and let me handle them with no problems - they both eat and drink and are active
so after talking to the owner it was decided that they would come to my house to live !!!! we are hopeing to let them have a litter of babies every so often ( no I dont believe in over breeding )
right now they are in a really big tote with LOTS of room for thier loooong tails I am going to make a divider wall so they can still see each other and not over breed I will let them have a little playtime daily but watch and make sure no funny buisness is going on LOL
so far they dont have names - I cant think of anything LOL
I will post pics IF anyone is intrested in seeing them - not sure if pics of a hairless rat will freak anyone out or not LOL
