I am going to be in the business of shipping chickens, and before I spend much money on the shipping containers, I would like to know if anyone has experience they could share about brands of shipping containers they like, ones they do not like, and the reasons behind it.

Thank you for your time!

I've always received mine in a brown cardboard box with vent holes all around it.

Thank you for your help. Do you remember many details about it? How big was the shipping container? How big were the holes? Did it have a special covering on the ground?

No mine did not come with a heat pack...I live in the south..it's never cold.
Always arrive healthy but they never travel far. One short day trip.
The bottom of the box has some type of hard bedding in it.

Are you aware that you must be NPIP certified to ship chicks on most states.

Yes, I am aware of that. I have been in contact with my local representative.

I messaged one of the companies about shipping chicks, and was told that although there are packages designed for shipping chicks, that are approved, that they were not themselves approved. However a lot of people still yard their packages for shipping them. I wonder how well regulated the shipping containers are.
