I guess I don't have to get shots because I'm already a sophmore but my brother did. They said he would be kicked out of school and he wouldn't be able to run cross country or track w/o the shots.

I've always had plans to move to Australia myself, it this was before all the problems now... I knew it was coming though so that's why

. Plus Australia seems "cooler" (not weather) than the US in my opinion.

I personally would not move to Latin America. Been there, didn't like it. Not my cup of tea. OTOH, my MIL has a cousin who owns a resort in Belize and is very happy there.

We would like to eventually move to western Europe. DH grew up in Germany, I lived in Spain. I prefer Spain's weather and the language, but at this point I'll take just about any EU country.

Like I tell my students, if you aren't happy here leave, it's a free country. Everyone in every country has a complaint and feel the grass is greener on the other side of the Border. You trade one set of problems for another. But if you aren't happy where you are and have the ability and finances to go then do it. But I also tell them that if they are getting a retirement or something from the country they dislike so much, they really should leave it behind because it would be against their beliefs to take it with them. They wouldn't want a reminder of where they left.

i always wanted to move to belize. have been looking at places there since 1999. but if everyone else is going there i'll look elsewhere. (no offense).

You can use your religion for not getting shots, I am pretty sure. I will NOT let my DS get that Swine flu shot . . .I have read stuff about that, that scares me. BUT, on the other side of this post, I won't leave the USA. NO way, no how. The grass always looks greener on the other side, and no matter how good it looks and sounds, there is going to be a negative. I would rather have a USA negative than another countries that I might not know or understand and then not know what to do about, because I don't know the laws, etc. We are a mess, but look back in history . . .we have always been a mess. If one group was florishing, another group was starving, and then it would turn around and the shoe would be on the other foot . . .we are not going to go under, we are THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Our forefathers didn't intend for the constitution to be abused like it is, but they also don't want us to give up and leave. No offense intended. I get really upset and disheartened over stuff; especially when I see what a movie star is getting for a movie, or what some goof ball will pay to be buried above Marilyn Monroe, or what a sports person is being paid, but its a sign of the times. I won't leave here because my ancestors came over a boat thinking there were better days ahead of them, and they did o.k. I will too. We just need to keep the faith, write our political leaders until they can't stand to see our names on the return addresses, and try to find someone to run for office that will be worthy of the honor of serving this country!!!

Until we loose the right to vote, I think that America is still a good place to live. We do have the power to change laws, if we only get informed.

But I do understand the appeal of moving to an exotic location. Maybe you will let me come visit you.

TorOnto, sucks. My parents hated it when they moved there from England. HOWEVER not all parts of Canada are horribly cold, and at least everything is green here
