I know of a lovely place on the the Baja where the desert meets the sea. That is where my ashes are going to be scattered when I die. Nothing for miles but cactus, rocks and the ocasional stray cow. Fell in love with the place when I read the book, Girl of the Cortez Sea, and then again when I saw it in person as a new college grad trying to figure out where I was going with my life.
I've been to Canada, Niagra Falls area, and a houseboat trip one summer down the St. Lawrence River. Beautiful country. But anything below 70 is to cold for me.
I have a nephew who lives in Barhain. He, his wife and 3 kids just love it there. They have had the chance to travel to other far-away places such as Thialand which they say is paradise.
My husband is a former Marine who has been all over the world. He's told me of far off wonderful places but says he would live no where other than the USA. I think I stay here with him.
PS***The only time I plan to leave him is when we leave this earthly plane. I am going to the Baja and I'm putting my husband in one of the big planters outside the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill. It's the best final resting place for a Tarheel fanatic
