I just want to move to a state that has four seasons and mountain views. Because my mother was ill, I had to move back to the southeast part of NC. I might like to life near Asheville or Mt Airy but for now, I am stuck here.

I don't like humid summers and I want snow during the winter. When we lived in western Iowa, I LOVED the snow, but would have liked some more trees.

Maybe in a year, when hubby finishes his degree, we can move.

I have a friend who lives in Lebanon, Pa and she loves it, but I think that the cost for acrege might be too high when you go further north.

How do you have a conversation about defecting which is what your talking about, with out it being political?
#1-I wasn't bashing anyone. Just stating one of the reasons we're 1.6 trillion in debt.
#2- My thoughts are if someone wants to test drugs on my kid. Let them try it on their own first. Have Obamas kids had the shot?

Honestly, either Australia, New Zealand, England, or Canada. All beautiful places that get cold and snowy.

And allow all the chooks I want.

Hey! I'll buy 100 acres and you all can get a small house and we can all have a BYC farm!!!

I think SillyStunt feels like a lot of us do. Our country is being taken away from us piece by piece and our freedoms eroded. It's a scary thing.

This isn't political, it's social and cultural. Our society are the ones putting these people in power, on both sides of the aisle.

I haven't heard anyone speak of defecting, just possibly moving, and I'm assuming most of this is a dramatization of SS's feelings and many others here.

I'm a God loving patriotic American and proud of it. I also vote conservative. Yet I have similiar feeling to the people who posted here. I can't stand Obama but this is n't about him. He's only been there for 8 months. WE THE PEOPLE keep voting in people like him and the others.

This isn't about what the U.S.A. has been. It's about what our country is becoming.

So what are you all waiting for?

As my WW2 veteran uncle would say...."what's taking you so long to leave...don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out!!"

Northeastern PA is very nice. We have four seasons, fertile ground, rolling hills (mountains), reasonably priced homes/acreage, low property taxes and nice people. I lived in the Piedmont area of NC for 11 years and really got tired of the hot/humid summers, bugs!, and red dirt that grew nothing. But I grew up in PA, so it is home to me.
