I am new at having a baby goat

Hi my name is Bonnie, I am new at this but I have a question I just got my first baby goat, he is 3weeks old.. How many time do you feed a baby goat? How much and how many time can u feed.. The breeder I got him from feed him 3 times a day and I have been doing that but my baby goat acts like he is still hurgery?? Thanks for any advance you guys can give me...

Hi Bonnie,

We've never had to bottle feed our kids because we have had the mothers to do that. I do know the kids nurse many times throughout the day. Mom doesn't let them stay on long at one time but they nurse frequently. That's a pretty young goat so 3 times a day may not be enough. Is she eating anything solid? Our latest kids are just 9 days old and they have already started picking up bits of hay and leaves to munch on.

Thanks for all the info and advice u guys give me.. To answer everyone questions yes he does munch on leaves and grass.. We have up his feeds I really appreciate y'all advice thanks from the Mixon farm
