I heard emus can be aggressive.
If you want tall, cute, sweet bird I would do cranes. I wanted an emu but my mom said no and let me get a crane instead. He is sooo funny and sweet. This is him. His name is Phantom. That is him on Christmas and him sleeping on the couch.

Emus were very popular with some of the chickeners a few years back. The ones that were incubated and raised by humans from birth can be very sociable. The ones bought as youngsters - not so much.
