I am new here

I taught one of my roosters to come running when we make this click-click sound. Whenever we had visitors we'd tell them the roo would come when we call him. They, of course didn't believe us. So my husband and I would stand a few feet apart and one of us would call the roo and then the other and he'd run back and forth between us! He got rewarded with treats and cuddles when he did that.
We raised him ourselves and we made the sound for him when we fed him as a small chick, trying to imitate a mommy hen. He learned quick.

that is really cool. do you think i could still teach my chickens tricks even though they are not chicks anymore.

I would say it is never too late. Food is probably the best chicken motivator in the world. I trained my girls in a similar way. I used it together them back into their run after letting them out or after the occasional escape. :) Just make sure they associate that one call or noise with treats and you should be good.
